I love to design dresses with sleeves as it keeps their vintage appeal, and of course
they are always so incredibly appropriate, take away the need for a jacket or cardi and
make you feel completely and entirely ‘dressed’.
The new category on the suzannah.com site is for a collection of our new dresses for Autumn Winter entitled
‘Tailored Shifts’. I’m feeling super passionate about wool dresses for this season. We have started by introducing
the 1940’s shift in the most incredible and sensitive forties dusty blue . This dress is also available in several other colours to come throughout the season.
We have worked on this silhouette and further developed and tweaked its sculptural lines, and by adding weight to the cloth has given the dress extra body to
enhance the wonderful drapes and sculpts and pronounces the back peplum detail wonderfully. This dress is individually tailor made in London as the complexity
has demanded this. The dress is perfect for many occassions from day to dinner, work, and can be styled up from head to hem with pill box millinery . We recommend
sheer mesh tights from Falke to dress this style for an event, or to wear a denser coloured opaque for work or dinner.
If anyone can rock a pussy bow blouse and a boy blazer , she can!
We’ve added a new sculptural dimension to the sculpted Suzannah one shoulder dress
for fall 11 by adding a bright colour block. The Origami dress, a playful quirky piece of
cutting.

A good appropriate dress for an event. Will last through the seasons as can carry tights and stronger statement shoes too.
Our new versions of this dress are the flame lace one shoulder and of course the wonderful bridal Marvelette dress which is an even more indulgent take on this dress with the lace being all-over embroidered and totally lined in silk too
The lace adds a certain vintage charm whilst the slick lines and form of the silhouette keeps the lace from looking too sweet…x
I just love the Boodles campaigns. So beautiful, luxury and effortlessly stylish. Their jewelry is to die for as I recently found out when on the mission to find my engagement ring.
Delighted this season again though as they featured one of the Suzananh dresses for their main campaign shot. The Party on The Lawn Dress, which we have re-launched this season, and going into fall too. We have lengthened to a midi length , and added a few twists: Inserting strips of vintage lace to the under slip was our favourite…
so in case it slips off your shoulder,…you are beautiful underneath too. The tangerine hammered silk satin sash completes the beautiful tones…x
There is nothing better than getting totally dressed up for the races or any event!
We have many dresses of course,..but I am really excited about this new dress.
It is of course below the knee, has an ample strap and vintageously and wonderfully retro
perfect for the race course. It is a development from our beautiful Tea Cup dress which Alex Jones wore
to present the Royal Wedding but with a simplified bodice part.
Styling. A substancial fascinator has to be the oversized corsage this year,…
although looks just as wonderful with a wide brimmed resort hat or cheeky pill box…x
