I love to design dresses with sleeves as it keeps their vintage appeal, and of course
they are always so incredibly appropriate, take away the need for a jacket or cardi and
make you feel completely and entirely ‘dressed’.
The new category on the suzannah.com site is for a collection of our new dresses for Autumn Winter entitled
‘Tailored Shifts’. I’m feeling super passionate about wool dresses for this season. We have started by introducing
the 1940’s shift in the most incredible and sensitive forties dusty blue . This dress is also available in several other colours to come throughout the season.
We have worked on this silhouette and further developed and tweaked its sculptural lines, and by adding weight to the cloth has given the dress extra body to
enhance the wonderful drapes and sculpts and pronounces the back peplum detail wonderfully. This dress is individually tailor made in London as the complexity
has demanded this. The dress is perfect for many occassions from day to dinner, work, and can be styled up from head to hem with pill box millinery . We recommend
sheer mesh tights from Falke to dress this style for an event, or to wear a denser coloured opaque for work or dinner.
