Launching Jean!
Inspired by the simplicity of silhouettes of the early 1960’s, we have translated a ‘paper doll dress’ idea into a perfectly tailored bias cut couture piece of modern glamour. Perfect for a cool bride or a red carpet piece when made in a vivid colour. We would love to see this piece in bright fuchsia! Working on the most perfect straight body silhouette, we cut the 4 panels of the dress on the bias to get a wonderful form without too many seams which would interfere with the simplicity.
The sleeve is also cut on the bias , to achieve a very wonderfully slim silhouette without being restrictive and to gain an element of ‘give’ when cutting across the cloth.
Jean has a perfect scooped round neck and a long invisible centre back zip to enable step in ease. Jean is fully lined in silk stretch.
The hem circumference is adorned in rows of hand cut silk petals which are cut out of the same cloth.
Every cm of this dress is made in London with an enormous amount of love and passion..x
